How many days do you spend hunting deer.

Just wondering how many days the average guy/gal spends in the stand each year and how do you keep focused after a long season. I have hunted every weekend since opening bow season (thanks to my very understanding wife) and I am wore out both physically and mentally. I passed on a nice mature 8 during bow season thinking that the rut would bring something better around. This has been a weird rut from what I obeserved. Well so far I have not seen anything close to the nice 8 and I have heard a lot of shooting around our place this year. I guess I am just feeling a little discouraged.

With Kids football this year I wasnt able to get out till OPening Gun season I will hunt from this Sat every weekend and 10 weekdays till Jan

Right now my work schedule is 4 days a week. Ive hunted every Fri, Sat, Sun. since the opener. Ive passed on 2 bucks a 10pt. with stickers on the g2 and a slick eight. Tuff hunting this season.

I hunted 28 days in october. Things have slowed down now but I understand that feeling. I passed on a nice 8 last year and kicked my own but all season for doing so.

I would say 50-55 give or take.

I'm blessed with a bunch of vacation and a very good wife. Never have to ask for permission/kitchen pass. FIRST wife was not that way.

15 to 20 for me. I've been out to the lease in Callahan county and not even hunted, just stayed at the cabin and watched the kids or cooked dinner for everybody.

Im at 24 days this year, and I another 16 days scheduled before christmas. Still have Jan-Feb.

I hate working shift work, but it does allow for a lot of time in the brush.
