    Antler mount

I have a pair of antlers that are from my son’s deer last year. I would like to put them on a simple mount for him. However, I never removed the hair last year and now the skin is like a rock. What is the best way to remove the hair from a year old set of antlers?
    Thanks

I have heard about putting them in water for a few hours. I have never done this so I dont know 1) if you should 2) if it works.

Stick it in a tub of water until it softens up and comes off.
It could take a day, a week, or a month. Just check it every day or so.

you can boil the base of the antlers for thirty mins. and then cut the excess skin off

should not take more than a few days, the ones I have done didn't anyway.
