putting pics up

excuse my ignorance, but Ive tried using the little yellow pic icon, and when I paste the photobucket link code it doesnt work.
any help would be appreciated.
I changed my avatar, but putting a pic in posts baffles me

Go advanced...click on the paper clip and it will bring up another explorer box. Click browse and find the pics you want and add. Then click upload and they should be connected to your thread or post. Hope that helps...

I haven't know how to do this either but I will try to follow the directions above. But how do you put it in your Avatar? Mine says it's too big even from photobucket.

You need to resize your picture. The key to that is knowing what program opens it on your computer. Open the photo up that you want to be your avatar. Go to options and there should be a resize icon and you need to click on it. The pixels must be 165 X 165 (they just can't be bigger than that on length and width). After you resize it save it as a different file and then try to upload that. If it doesn't work let me know and I will try.
