first deer in 3 years

Shot my first deer in 3 years this morning.....doe at 15 yards.....hit her a little futher back than i liked so i got down found my arrow and blood trail and marked where i saw her go in the woods......waited about 2 and a half hours to go and look for her.....picked up the blood trail and she ran about 50 yards but when we got there buzzards had already eaten into her belly.....lost one back ham and a backstrap......have never seen buzzards get to a down deer so quickly.

I shot a doe the last weekend in Oct. and drug her from the thick woods to the "thin" woods, went to my truck and was back within 15 minutes to find about 10 buzzards flying off. Never seen that before. I guess things quit dying since the rain started.
