I swear this is true ....

Saturday morning, I was sitting in a blind I had set up for my wife to gun hunt. I wasn't planning to shoot anything, but had my rifle "just in case".

About 8:30, I see a doe that looks like it is bleeding badly from the neck. I figure if its wounded, I will go ahead and take it. I raise my rifle, look through the scope, and it ain't blood. It's a collar. A big red collar that looks like a dog collar, with a bell on the front.

I watched it for about 10 minutes. Acted real spooked by the other deer, then went off by itself.

My lease is north of F-Berg, where 87 and 2323 split.

Anybody ever seen anything like this?

Should've leashed her and tied to a stake for the rut.

Some blind old lady thought she put her cow Betsy's collar back on her.... Hopefully she didn't drink the milk! Next time shake the bucket of corn!

That's kind of what I was thinking, but who would let their pet deer loose in central texas during november?
