We are thinking abut spending a few days at Thanksgiving around Broken Bow. Does anyone have suggestions on day hunts ?

Unfortunately there's not alot over there, but depending on how far you want to drive and how much you want to spend, here are a couple of suggestions:
Triple S Ranch in Calvin (kinda pricey, but I think that may be the closest, reputable place)
Rocky Top Ranch in Lamar (I don't know anything about their operation, but they referred some clients to us so I'm returning the favor)
Bowsafari in Coalgate (they're in the process of changing ranch managers, so may be in transition right now, but I think they're still doing hunts)
PH Farms in Pawnee (hogs only I think and a small place, but the owner is a good guy)
I'd have invited you to come hunt with us, but we're booked solid that whole week. Unfortunately there are alot of not-so-reputable places in Oklahoma. In fact you might want to check with the Oklahoma Dept. of Ag to see who is actually licensed to operate. There are several places that are booking hunts that won't be around in a year because they just can't bring themselves to do things legally. Also, I'd stay away from public land that week...it's the middle of our 9 day gun season so I think that's all I need to say about that!
