    Waterproof Gloves????

Looking for some TBH wisdom on gloves. After spending several days in a steady to hard rain in 42 degree weather, I'm in search of waterproof gloves. We bought several pair of Whitewater gloves which were 100% waterproof but found it is only true when they aren't exposed to rain.

Does anyone have experience with truly waterproof gloves, preferably fairly thin so I can wear them and still shoot my bow?

I haven't found one yet that was completely waterproof. What I have done to combat that is get a good set of wool gloves from the Army Surplus. They aren't dry but warm even if your hands are wet. They are only around $4 a pair so I just keep a bunch around.

i use these for winter fishing...

I've got two suggestions: Go to the fishing section of Gander or Academy and get the Texas Tackle Factory neoprene gloves, water proof except for the slits for exposing finger tips when needed. Next choice is 100% waterproof: Go to the ski section and get a pair of glove liners for warmth and then to the camping section and get a pair of the thin black rubber/platex gloves to wear OVER the warm glove liners. they have a fairly long cuff so you can tuck inside your coat sleeves. Will feel funny at first but your hands will by dry!

Seal Skins are the best bet I have found. They ain't WARM, but they are waterproof. Put them on and then a good pair of wool gloves over top and you're good to go. That's how I survive duck and goose season here.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give a couple of them a try.

I've heard good things about the Sealskinz, but if I remember right they weren't cheap. But I'm sure they're worth it if they work like everyone says.

What about using a pair of wool gloves over a pair of surgical gloves? Hands might sweat in them if you wore them very long, I don't know

I know neoprene will make them sweat and STINK!

Camo Skinz with goretex from Cabela's. Waterproof, thin, and won't break the bank.
