    Help with cows...

I bought the Primos Escape Deluxe for my daughter and I to hunt in this gun season. I love the blind, easy setup and plenty of room. Problem is that the cows have actually eaten all of the shoot through mesh and 2 of the windows off. I have ordered replacements, but is there anything I can put on or around the blind to repel the cattle? I put it up opening weekend of bow season and was going to leave it, but when I went back it was dinner, so I took it down and I just put it up when we get ready to hunt. As soon as the heard sees it they come running like I rang the dinner bell.

BTW, cow slobber smells like A** at 0430 in the morning, the stand was covered in it and it made me gag. I felt the stand in the dark and thought the wetness was just dew, was I ever wrong.

I feel your pain. Had cows brush up against my Primos Vision blind. They pushed one of the hubs in causing a chain reaction of all hubs popping in leaving my blind on the ground for 2 weeks before I was back out and could fix it.

I put mine in the middle of a sticker bush. So far so good! Our cows are like coons. If the bushes are not an option, you could always string you some net wire around the blind.

Surround the perimeter with Mesquite, leave a few shooting lanes.

I have had the same kind of problems with cows. I would suggest taking some T-post and putting them around the blind and using 2 to 3 strands of barbed wire. You can position the wire so you can still shoot.

Like stated above, I have had great luck with putting it in the middle of a mesquite tree.
