I have a tree that I need to hang a lock-on or hang-on stand on and I am trying to figure the best way to do this. I have several hang-on and lock-on stands, but I could buy a new one if I need to. The tree is leaning about 10-15° to the side. The tree is about 10" in diameter. Any ideas?
My first idea is to take a hang-on that hangs by a chain and put it on there. It will hang perpindicular to the ground and not follow the tree. I could then put the screw in bolt through the stand to hold it vertical. I haven't done the geometry, but this could work.
I was looking at the lonewolf stands. They have an offset bracket for this purpose, but I don't know how far to the side it will work.
