iPhone Internet question?

So I get wifi at my ranch but for some reason my phone will only work with my bookmarks. If I try to google anything, it won't open the page. But for instance, tbh, is a bookmarked page and I can do everything that I should be able too. What gives?

Is the phone set to pick up the wifi? I know that it can be turned off.

Yes bill. I'm using wifi right now. But if I try to google something, it says Internet lost connection. But then I can get right back on here through my bookmarks. I don't get it

I can't connect to any wifi outside my home network. I've adjusted all the settings, allowed permission to join, etc. It just sits there and tries to connect. AHHHHHHHHH

sounds like maybe you cannot access the dns server on that connection to resolve the ip address of the new site you want to go to....but the bookmarked ones work because they are cached...???

can you still google and get results, just not go to the results?

just bookmark every page on the internet before you head out...

The router at the ranch might have a firewall setting blocking your phone.

I have had similar problems trying to connect at Starbucks or McDonalds. I reset my phone and it worked. Push and hold both buttons until the Apple logo appears (maybe 5-10 seconds).
