What kind of bug is this?

If I am not mistaken we always called them Blister Bugs. The sting/bite will leave a blister and it hurts like HELL

That's what I thought at first, but the pictures on the net didn't look to similar.

Most pics on the net are probably of adults with wings. Your pics don't appear to have wings so it is probably a nymphal instar (young).

I got stung by blister bug , I was sleeping felt, something and slapped it , fell back asleep & woke with a inch by half ,big raised blister oninside arm and chest on that side. I thought maybe a scorpion . I was on the Nueces outside Uvalde. Talked to some people and they said the blister bugs were worse than their scorpion. took a few days to burst & left a scar ,still visable , and this was in early july. maybe it was the sensitivity of the inside arm??
but it did hurt, Id never even heard of them
