forced into rifle stands the last few weeks...

I have been acting as a second set of eyes for the past few weekends for Cameron while he bow hunts in an attempt at . Sitting in these rifle blinds are kinda different. Didn't not realise much stuff goes on behind the scenes. I still think rifle hunting pretty much blows. I think given time I could train a monkey to do it.

i love bowhunting, but many times you can see so much more from a rifle stand. My bowstands are set up to where bout 50 yards is all i can see around me. My rifle stands are set up to see 100 or more yards around me. Still a bigger rush when your in a tree and big daddy is 20 yards away.

I have been bow hunting now going on 18yrs. I picked up a rifle last week and am going to climb in to a warm box this year when it get's cold this year.
I'm not even the slightest considering giving up on archery, but as I get older sitting up 30' in a tree, on a loc-on while it's raining, and 33 degrees, just somehow seems to lose something .Did I say how much more I "prefer" bow hunting

I have hung out on TBH for 9 or so years... Most that know me know I don't care how it goes. Just making a statement, to each their own.I have seen two bucks passed on all October die this weekend but then again if it makes the hunter happy go for, I even find myself tolerating muslims these days

I haven't touched the rifle in 4 years since my first bow kill and don't know when the next time I will. I would love to have the meat and all but the challenge and reward of the bow kill in unlike no other. I am not saying I won't touch the rifle again but it is very unlikely unless I am hunting Sasquatch...

I agree with you rifle hunting does blow, but it is still hunting and us and hunters need to stick together so we all can keep doing what we all love to do.

I'm not knocking it I only said "I" think it blows. There is a place for it among the elderly, handicapped and less patient. My tags are filled in October except for one I have some unfinished business down south. But rifle hunting pretty much goes like this: see deer, put gun in window, make 100 yards+ shot, take another drink of coffee, go get deer.

I just had 3 does at 12 yards for 35 minutes, that's the reason I bowhunt...

And some wonder why the numbers of hunters are down each year....

This is the 3rd or 4th "rifle hunters suk" thread up right now.

Yes we all know this is primarily a bowhunting site, but all the elitist holier than though because you shoot a bow mess is getting old....one more reason many of the people who have been here for many, many years don't post much anymore.

                      "forced" into a stand.....amazing.

The worse thing is in order to enoy my sport. Someday I may be forced to become what I currently dislike. Like when I'm 70 or so. That will sux for me.
