? on which riding lawn mower to buy

I am looking to buy a used riding lawn mower for our deer lease and was wondering which brand to get or at least for sure which brands to avoid.

Any help from some of you beer drinking, lawn mowing experts would be greatly appreciated

Was thinking a used John Deere would be the way to go for parts and repair if needed.

Most John Deere dealers have some used. They are great mowers if you get a true John Deere, not the one at home depot with green paint. That is all my stepdad will buy and has great luck with them. That said, a mower is only worth so much to me. I bought a Cub Cadet branded one from Home Depot last summer. I have been very happy with it after using it all summer. Might not last as long as the John Deere, but I take good care of things and it cost 1/3 of what the same thing would cost at the JD dealer.

I bought one from Home Depot and havn't had any problems with it. I have had it for over 4 years and have done nothing other than changing blades and the oil. My place is about an acre in size and I love my tractor. Get a hydrostatic drive, they are well worth the added cost.

I can recommend a Sears Craftsman riding lawnmower. I bought one early last year and it's been great. My father has owned Sears lawn tractors for 20 years and has been very happy with them.

Just get a used Sears I have had 2 in the last 14 years and I line in the hill country and run over rocks all the time. Save alot of blades by removing the blade breaks from the deck.
