I shot a PSE Typhoon for three years and was pleased with it. It was a great bow for getting into bowhunting. I could outshoot my uncle a month after I got it. I made the mistake of shooting some bows while in a proshop about 2 months ago and ended up with a new turbo-hawk and LOVE IT. As said above; shoot different bows and brands and the bow WILL pick you. I shot Mathews, hoyts and PSE's and none felt as good to me as the turbo-hawk (personal opinion).

When you get past all the hoopla from bow companies, I think they are the best compound made. My Nova is 10 yrs old and still going strong ! My next bow will be the Brute.

I've been shooting my PSE Brute for several months now, an upgrade from a 10 year old PSE Baby.

I have confidence in my abilities with it, it's QUIET without a lot of extra hoopla attached, and the arrow flies where it's aimed.

As others have said, shoot what you're confident with and what feels good to you.

My first bow was a PSE Nova. It was a very basic entry level bow but shot great for me. I added limb savers to make it quieter and added an overdraw to generate a little more speed with shorter lighter arrows. Good luck

my first bow was a PSE package from bass pro. I believe a whitetail obsession. It was a good first bow. I shot very good with it and killed tons of game. I will say it doesn't even come close to my current bow. But at that time it was the only bow i shot so who knows...

I shot a PSE Pulsar for about 20 years and then upgraded to the X-Force. I really like mine.

I really like my bow the Micro Adrenaline Browning bow made by PSE. For the smaller framed shooter Had a Hoyt before that. Went to the PSE factory in July in Tuscon Arizona. They gave my dad and I a personal guided tour. They were extremely nice and knowledgable..plus one HECK of an archery store with indoor and outdoor fields.

I helped out in an archery shop for 11 years. We sold PSE, Hoyt, Pearson, amd Browning(which PSE owns). We worked on ANY bow that was brought through the door. Over that 11 year span I came to realize that If you throw out IBO ratings (which are totally useless for fairly rating bows performance) All bows perform pretty much at the same level, given their ranking in performance level. A mid line PSE is close around a midline Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, Martin. It all depends if you want entry level, middle of the road or upper end, there will be little performance difference in the level chosen. I saw archery from the industry side and PSE had everyone beat hands down on warranty and customer service. Of course that has a lot to do with your dealer also. If I shot a compound it would be PSE and then Hoyt. Also PSE is probably the most stable company in the archery world.

I am still shooting a PSE Firestorm. Hasn't let me down. Shoots great. I get the bug for a new bow every now and then and then shoot my Firestorm and ask why? I have been happy with them. My last bow was a PSE Mohave and my dad has it now.

All I have ever shot is PSE and never had a problem with them. Been 16 years now. My current bow is an original X-Force, 70 lbs 28.5" draw, shooting 319. And most importantly easy to shoot on top of it all.

Why would you limit yourself to one brand? Shoot every bow you can get your hands on. PSE may not be the best fit for you but only shooting one brand you will never know.

Right now I shoot an xforce omen and love it. Had an original xforce and it was a great bow too.
