What grain for a 223

My favorite .223 load uses at 55 grain Hornady V-max. I originally tried lighter bullets trying to get speed but the load I worked up with the 55 grain V-max is just a sweetheart in my gun.

X2. several deer have taken a dirtnap with 55 gr. V-Max in my .223.

for some fun shooting get 5.56 american eagle tactical tracers
for hunting get the Ballistic tip 62 grain

I've killed 2 pigs with my AR and both were boom-flops.

One was using the 55 gr MC remington (cheap gree & white box at Wally World).

The other was with Federal premium 60 gr nosler partition. - this is the round I'd use to hunt with.
