    another question on rests

I have heard so many conflicting stories on drop aways and on the whisker biscuit, I am a biscuit fan since I do not want to have to worry about my arrow falling off when I pick up my bow. I guess I like simplicity anyone have problems with this type of rest? Am I better off switching?

I shoot a Tri Van kinda best of both world really like it. No problems so far but alot of people think it had two many moving parts but even if doesn't open works just like a whisker biscuit with fletching contact.

the problem with a wisker biscuit is it puts off a lot of noise, hence the reason most people suggest drop aways. i too am a fan of a wisker type rest but i changed to an octane hostage which has a lot less contact area with the arrow and cuts down on noise.

You will get a little bit more speed out of your bow with a drop away verses a wb. There are drop aways out there that will hold the arrow in place. The Vital Bow Gear Kazaway is an excellent example.

I had a kazaway but it was loud and rough slideing after awhile.

You will loose 2 fps with the WB, but gain the confidence that this rest can in no way fail..... all it has to do is sit there.

As for noise I guess the 30+ animals I have killed with it (most within 15yrds) were all deaf.

if you are happy with the performance you are getting now, then leave it alone!!! If you want to change, then there are a ton of good choices out there. You just have to decide what YOU want.

I like the WB, sure there is a little noise but I have not had any animal duck an arrow with it. I REALLY like knowing I can do anything and the arrow will always be on the rest with the WB.
