    NAA Range Master needed....

I got this in an e-mail today....

Boy Scout Troop 437 from Lewisville, TX is planning our yearly archery campout for November 21, 2009 at Sid Richardson Scout Camp, just west of Ft. Worth. In order to use the camp's archery range and equipment we must have a NAA certified rangemaster, which has proven to be very tough to find.

We are planning to have about 25 scouts that will participate in archery shooting, ages ranging from 11 to 17. We will also have 10 adults to provide supervision. All archery equipment will be provided by the camp, so we only need someone's expertise and enthusiasm to introduce these scouts to archery.

If you can provide any assistance with finding a rangemaster it would be greatly appreciated. Of course, the rangemaster is welcome to stay with us at the camp, we will certainly feed him well and we will have a great campfire program after a day at the archery range.

Thank you again for your assistance.

Contact Bernie Kessler at TP&W. I don't have a number, but little sister (Dusty Britches) probably does. sorry to throw in you front of the bus, sis.

Joey - you might contact NAA HQ and ask them for a list of current RangeMasters in your area
        what about NFAA?

I think Mike and Tracy Smith are NAA certified coaches. That would be Tallcat and Smallcat. Pistol - I dodged that bullet, uh?

Yeah, and I bet they would love to do it. Doesn't Tallcat go by Arrowsmith here?

Yeah, he's like that. Always changing things up on me. Goes to show how long I've known him.

I imagine he'll get me back - he sent me something about an ASA South Texas director....

                Joey,

The troop should be able to call the Longhorn Council of the BSA @ 817-231-8500 and get a list of archery instructors. I took the NRA Instructor class for rifle and shotgun through the scouts (when I was an Asst. Scout Master), but never got around to doing the archery course.
