Who remembers earlier this month when the word got out about the Texas State Record Tarpon being caught off of the Pier in Galveston????? 210lbs 11oz Well Brandon and I have the guy that caught it in our operator class at the refinery! He is a cool cat and very modest about the whole thing. He showed me the pics of the fish (ones that have not gotten out). All I can say is WOW! He is about 6'2" and it makes him look small! There will be more to come from it once some thigs are taken care of.

I put hands on this fish at the Expo. The fish was as big as the table adn was sitting in ice. The scales werwe bigger than golfballs.Comment

most of the big scales were plucked by him (he keeps them for good luck from all of his tarpon) and some are as big as a softball!Comment
