Do you think he will come back?

So yesterday morning I shot at the best buck we have on camara to date. Judgeing by the amount of blood we found, I only nicked him. tha buck fever got the best of me. Anyway my question is, do you think he will come back if my speculations are correct?

He should if it was only a nick. He may be a little more cautious when he comes back. Good luck.

He may not show back up this year, but if he is still alive he will probably be back next year for sure.......

There have been several deer on here that got "flesh" wounds and showed back up on the game cam or later in the season. I hope he does and you get a chance to redeem yourself

There's a good chance that he will. We had a good eight point last year that had a bad habit of showing up, at one of the feeders at 8:00am everyday. Opening day of rifle season I'm setting with my brother so I can video him shooting the buck. Just like clock work the neighboring hunters shoot at 8:00am Both of our hearts sank. We just knew they killed the buck we were after. The following week, there he is on camera, with a wound near the top of his back. Two weeks later my brother shots him. The neighbors shot went just under the back strap, hitting nothing vital.

          Good luck.

Give him two weeks and I bet he will be back. Seems to work like clockwork at our place.

From my buddy's experience last year, he hit a buck high with the arrow stuck in him and knocking it out running away. We tracked it for 2 days, finding the buck still alive. He waited about a month before returning to the stand to find the buck came back to the feeder. He made a second shot, killing the deer. Each deer reacts different but he just might come back. Good luck!!

I bet he will come back, my friend shot a cull buck in the leg one night, and the next morning he limped back into the same feeder and he finished him off.

A buddy of mine did the same thing this weekend. no blood on the arrow just on one blade of the broadhead (3 blade) tracked the buck forever and finally saw him run away with blood on his brisket. Putting cameras back out today to verify but I am sure he will be back. Horrible feeling but it's good it wasn't a mortal wound.

Same thing happened to me 2 years ago. My buddy ended up taking him a month later in rifle season from a stand not too far away. Keep hope alive!

Shot one several years back on opening morning and grazed his back (about 1/2 in deep) The next morning he was back and I let the air out of him that time. He was an older deer so I would guess you will see him again. Good Luck!
