    Popup camper questions

Does anybody use a pop up camper at the deer lease? I was wondering how warm are they during the winter time, or how hard is it to keep them warm? Are they noisy when a hard northern is blowing? Can you sleep inside one while a portable generator running outside? I know the A/C works pretty good during the summer time (stayed in one while fishing at the coast). I really dont want to buy a travel trailer since I really have a place to store it besides the deer lease. Does anybody have one they want to sell?

I have used one years ago and they can be comfortable with a portable heater.
I would not recommend one to keep at the lease though. Rats really enjoy eating up the canvas, been there.

you can keep it warm enough..i used a portable heater or the stove...the canvas will/can sweat like a big dog ,so don't hit it in the middle of the night or you will get a small shower!!!

I used one for about 10 years on our old lease. Never cranked it down. It did end up with plywood walls after a thunderstorm with especially high wind! We weathered some pretty interesting storms and the canvas popping did make it hard to fall asleep. When we had power we used an electric heater. In Colorado and no generator, we used the stove, BUT DON'T DO IT! It's dangerous, and we didn't know any better. A cheap hard side camper is a better choice. Just make sure it doesn't leak.
