    Fletching Question

Are fletchings on arrows supposed to come straight up off the arrow? I ask because I have a few arrows that the fletching is slighly bent at the point on the fletching farthest from the arrow shaft. They are carbon fury arrows if that matters. Thanks for the advice.

I am not sure I understand your question but fletching can be staright offset (runs off to the side as it goes down the arrow) or helical (slight spiral)

You need to shoot all the same style for consistency

Thanks BT. The edge of the fletching is slightly bent. The are straight offset not helical. The fletching material is some sort of plastic/rubber and some of them have a kink in the material as if it was pressed up against a hard surface. Like when you fold paper and make a crease. However, there is no actual crease in the fletching, just a slight bend. I have not shot these and don't plan on it either. Any easier question might be, should fletchings be stiff/rigid?

As a rule yes the fletching should be straight in the vertical plane. It shouldn't curl over as you go from the shaft up to the edge of the fletch.
