I decided to have a vapor trail string put on my legacy a few months back,i liked it at first after about 50shots it seemed to stretch as much as it was going to,however after about 1000 shots it started stretching again and hasn't stopped, string has been twisted a cuople times to take out the stretch and it needs it again,I'm headed to archery country to get a mathews string put on

You might want to look at Stone Mountain custom bowstings, I have used them for the past few years and they have preformed great, and the price is RIGHT!!

If I remember right the Vapor Trail strings are made from 452x which is designed for competition use not hunting, it is not as durable as a standard string...

Acually VT are 8125 material unless they have made a change. Their VTX is suppose to be a special 8125 blend. 8125 will tend to stretch in our Texas heat if not prestretched properly. My son and sil both have 8125 on their bows for 2 years without any movement at all. I personally use 452x string/cables as it is more stable in the heat.
I would give Vapor Trail a call and give them the opportunity to take care of it. ALL string manufacturers can have a bad one get through occassionally. Their service is what sets them apart.

I promise if you are having troubles with any Vapor Trail product and pick up the phone and call Jarod or Steve they will make it right by you.
I have been shooting their strings and cables now for 3 years and their Limbdriver rest for 2 and have had nothing but good things in return. I did have one bad set of strings last year, but with one phone call I had another set @ my doorstep in 2 days.
They are using VTX which is their own patented blend of materials that who knows what it is, but has been great for me in both the field hunting and on the 3d ranges.
I hope this help.
