    Lease going to get cleansed

We have the dummies coming to the lease this weekend. They come for opening weekend and drink beer, play poker and cook(badly). My bet is out of them all only 2 or 3 will even go to stand. The ones that do will stay for a hour then come in.This is their last year on the lease -they just dont know it yet.Anyone that kills the wrong one is gone right then, Lease manager has already told them that he will call the GW and they will be booted off. Im glad hes finally feed up with some of the guys. They dont pay on time. They dont help with it.They wait till the last min.to work their feeders and stands. Several tried to do it in the opening weekend of bow season and Joel told them they couldnt that i was hunting and they could wait till monday or just go homeThey was riding their 4wheelers everywhere and weve put a stop to that finally. I say goodbye and good riddance(sp).

Sorry for the rant!! Im just wondering about yalls.Do you have any Dummies and how do you get rid of them.

I'm surprised you waited this long. There are too many good guys who need leases to put up with that kind of nonsense.

They were friends of Joels but now hes feed up finally. The last straw for him was the money this year. I pay in Feb every year out of my bonus so im good. One guy paid yesterday.

Joel asked me to come so i can help with keeping a eye on things and i bet to skin and quarter since a couple dont know how. ( i use the rock and rope method which he likes).

Cass co., Some of us have been working this 650 acre lease for about 3 years and its coming around and were tired of dummies. Joel lives there so he keeps a close eye on it.

Sounds like you've been charitable enough alrready. If they need to party that badly, tell them to get Cowboy season tickets, it'd be cheaper!

Sorry you are having to deal with this but hopefully it is for the last time.

this is one reason I don't like rifle season anymore. Fortunately I'm the only one on the place I hunt, and I don't have to deal with anyone else. However it's not a big piece of property and opening weekend sounds like a war zone out there, and a lot of deer that I let walk, most that aren't even legal, disappear and I never see them again. Too many people out there just don't have any respect anymore. I'd like to be on a good lease with a group of guys that have quality management in mind, but it's things like this that just make me think twice about it. Sorry for the mess you have to deal with, I hope you get it straightened out sooner or later.

Thanks guys for the condolances. There will be actually 2 of us that have been invited back for next year already and Joel says the rest are going. Hes not sure how many hes running next year and hes actually trying to get another 320 acres 1/4 mile down the road. And randy even though weve never met Im quite sure you are NOT like them.

We "cull" the bad ones very quickly. Our lease has that reputation and we will give you the boot quickly. Our biggest nono is not paying on time. Twice I had to cover for others and that is not going to happen anymore. We have a long list of guys that want to get on so the policy is if you can't cough up the $$$ February 1st....Seeya!
