    Bad luck with Arrow rest/maddddd

have to rant. Always been a whisker biscuit man but last hunt out i failed to check bolts holding it in place. After i pulled my bow up with my rope i noticed it was gone(weekend hunt ruined). i could not find the same one that i had so i decided to try out a drop-a-way rest for the first time. I loved it when practicing at my house(super quiet). But while warming up before the evening hunt yesterday it broke....

Besides being quiet. What are the pros to the drop away? Failure on day 2 of owning one really turns me off...

All I have ever shot is drop away style. I currently have a QAD rest and have had Trophy Taker!! Both are great!

You're obviously hard on equipment or on a string of bad luck!! Stick with the drop away. Zero fletching interference is a big positive.

I have found no place for them in my hunting..... or archery

Go back to the WB and tighten it (use your man hands this time)

I would get another WB nothing to fail just make sure screws stay tight.

My Muzzy ZER drop away rest is on the 2nd bow for 12 1/2 years now and other than a metal pin starting to come out of the roller when I was bear hunting (and I pushed it back in with a small rock) it's been absolutely dependable. And I am almost abusive to my hunting gear, I push it as hard as I push myself. Here it is covered in ice/sleet in Colorado (we quit hunting that day, rest or no rest).

If you had luck with the WB, I'd get a new one and be sure to use Locktite on any/all screws and bolts. Better that happened to you than it fell off while shooting and the arrow injured you I'd say

Rip cord here. Qad rest wouldnt fall fast enough and my arrows would hit it everytime.

I have used the WB and would NEVER own one again, i actualy gave mine away with the only condition that he never return it!! I only use dropaways, while i have found some that dont work well (qad ultra reset) i have never had any of mine break. I have been using the trophy ridge for 4 years now and never had to touch it. As far as the screws backing out ....well...locktite has been around for a long time for a reason. For a dependable rest try the muzzy, For a fast rest try the limb driver. These are just my opinions i just hope they help!

WB destroy me and my wifes blazer veins. Got us both a ripcord drop away and have taken many animals with them. I have probably put close to 700 arrows through it and no sign of wear or tear.
