Has anyone else had their Ameristep blind implode. I popped open the top and one side and the pewter that holds the rod together broke to pieces. And I don't need any comments from you DB guys.
Was pulling out the sides, and one popped out like normal then immediately popped back in and 2 rods almost went through the fabric.
I crawled inside to find the round hub was still in one piece, but there were small pieces of what looked like ball joints from the ends of the rods, on the ground.
I finessed the rods back into the hub, and they are holding....for now.
My roof poles broke were the four poles connect together. Since then, my blind is much easier to put up and pack up. I will modify the roof hub to use velcro or something to hold them together.

Call them up. I had one of the 4 I got have the same issue last week and they sent me the replacement parts and I got them in 3 days. Forgot to mention they didnt even charge me for shipping. Great customer service.
When I went to setup my Ameristep back in August I had apparently not been very gentle putting it away last season and 3 of the hubs were broke in half. I e-mailed Ameristep twice and sent pictures before I got a response. They sent me two replacements after I had requested three. The guy in customer acted like he was doing me a big favor and said nothing like this had been reported before. I heard enough of that c$%p from Moultrie about a game camera once.
Its real frustrating when an outdoor product is advertised but when you actually use it, it fades to pink and rots after one season of real use.
