    Cool Broadhead Test Vid

    Not sure if this has been posted, but I found it and its pretty cool to see how certian broadheads hold up....

    I'll keep this in mind when I figure out how to cook barrel and get it tender.

              Think the natural disclaimer is .. none of those broadheads were designed to go through metal.. and metal has obvious and apparent different characteristics that would allow pass through.
              the mechanicals have an obvious disadvantage as the metal characteristics destroy the opening and pivot mechanisms upon impact.
              The plunger one is the obvious proof of this

              I would have rather seen this amount of effort (and money) go into testing this into ballistics gel, which would more accurately depict how these broadheads were designed to be used.

                  I think the obvious intent of the video is to show durability of the heads, nothing more. As expected, the fixed blades won that contest hands down. I think it's reasonable to assume you could have siomilar results if you hit a major bone in an animal.

                      I considered this useful ... Similar if the broadhead hit bone. And as mentioned above it shows the durability of the heads.

                      Still none the less. Seeing the destructive action is cool

                          Yup. good to know if that big one comes out wearing a 50 gallon drum, the strikers will get decent penetration.

                              Neat video. My Slick Tricks did pretty well. Watch out old, mature rusty barrel!
