Did it, got the T-Shirt, and the shaft...problem is, that you have to go through ALOT of junk to qualify for the good stuff...AND you'd better not give anything a bad revue or you lose your place in the rotation...my advice...run Forrest, run...not worth it in the long run.

From everyone I've talked to I'm definitely in the minority. With that being said I have had outstanding luck being a tester. I got to test a Renegade Tominator. This alone made everything worth it since the bow retailed for about $350 it think. I have also tested turkey calls, gun cleaner and a few other things. After testing the bow I decided to become a life memeber since the cost was equivalent to the bow's price. I got a jacket from that which I wear around the campfire some. Overall, I have gotten good value out of my membership.

I don't think I would join just to be able to test products because it is definitely a crap shoot. With that being said, the magazine isn't bad so I would look at the cost to join as the price for your magazine subscription. Then anything you get to test is a bonus. They also send you oppurtunities to buy stuff occasionally. So far I haven't had a need for any of it yet, but it seems like they offer decent deals. I hope this helps.

I got to test a little battery powered lantern. It works good- still have it. Use it by the bed when camping for quick light, could hang it from tent,etc... wouldnt buy one probably but it works fine!

To me the whole organization is nothing but a money making scam they send u stuff u dont order than try to guilt u into buying it. They told me I won a life membership but I needed to pay a 500.00 fee for the lifetime paperwork. And the magazine seems like most of it is written(Except for Larry Weishun and Jim Shockeys articles) on a 8th grade reading level. And dont ever give them your e-mail or # because u will be getting hounded everyday.Just what happened to me when my wife gave it to me as a surprise b-day gift.JMO

I've been a life member for about 13 yrs. The leather coat I got for becoming a life member has gotten me through a bunch of really cold pheasant hunting trips in NW Kansas and still in great shape except for the small tear from when I got hung up in some barbed wire. The magazine is pretty good and I haven't sent them any money since I became a lifer and still get it. For the price of magazine subscriptions these days it seems like a pretty good deal. The only time I signed up to field test, I got some moldable ear plugs that I couldn't stand. Haven't applied to field test anything else.
