    deer population question

I have had about 40 acres of property that i have been on for twenty years, and never really noticed any sign of deer. Last year i started a corn feeder and nothing, but all of a sudden i have deer coming in. from the trail camera and what i have seen driving around the past couple of months it only seems that there are 3 to 4 does, and one little 4 point. And the property is sandwiched in between two major daires. Question, do i take a doe this year, or wait until next year and see how many are running around during the summer?? I want more bucks, but I am not waiting for some monster buck to step out. I just want to see the deer population to get bigger, but want some meet in the freezer. So maybe some of you can give me some advise. Also hunted sat. morning, which is when i saw the buck, he was coming in to tend to a rub and srcape he had made, but was not hunting at that time it was almost 11:00 am and i was leaving to go home. Thanks for any advise!!

I'd put an arrow in one of the does. If you kill the does, then it will make more room for the bucks. Do the dairies have any wheat fields or alfalfa on them? If so then there's a pretty good chance there are more deer in the area than what you know about.

You should be good to take a doe off the place........

I think one of them has a wheat field, so maybe i will take a doe off this year. with this few of deer that i'm seeing would a protien feeder help more come in?
