Also, I have some friends that run the pro comp from 4 wheel auto parts. They usually have a deal where you buy 3 and get the 4th free.

Is that on Plano Parkway in Plano? I have a dealer next door to them if that is so.

Discount Tire gets all of my business. They have replaced too many tires for free to count. I also get lots of nails at the lease and they fix them for free.

I usually find the best price I can online and then have discount tire match it. Take a look at tirerack.com and onlinetires.com

don't forget about Firestone, The one here in Mansfield is top notch. I don't trust discount anymore, I picked out new tires last year. I mean I went in the back with the salesman and put my hands on them. Waited for 1.5 hours and as they were putting my truck on the ground I asked about tire pressure, that's when I found out that I had picked out and paid for tires with an E load rating, but the tires I was about to drive away with were C rated. had to wait for them to put my tires back on because they only had 3 of the ones I picked out. (they didn't seem to care). Firestone called that afternoon, (I had gotten a quote earlier) and gave me a deal of buy 3 get one free. Discount wanted to match that deal AFTER I went back to get my credit card cleared. I said no thanks, Firestone also offers a lifetime front end alignment, (I think it costs about $150ish) which is great for me. I'm not very nice to my truck. They now have all my vehicles covered. It could be that particular store though, I had always used them in the past and never had any issues.

They jack the prices up on the tires to cover that 4th "free" tire. Trust me, I caught them doing it. I called them to get a quote on some tires, they gave me a price. 2 weeks later they went on the buy 3 get one free sale so I called and asked for a quote. Oddly enough the out the door price was the same as the quote I got 2 week earlier when they weren't on sale.

Anyway, Discount is hard to beat when you factor everything in. And there's one on almost every street corner if you need service.

Get their online price at www.discounttiredirect.com and then start there with your negotiating with the local stores.

Oh, and with 20" wheels you are going to need some of Brenzia's lube too!

I got my best deal at Lamb's in Austin. Great price for 4 Wrangler Silent Armors. It was buy 3 get one free but that was about 10 months ago.

Call Travis at Mill Street Tire in Lewisville (972) 607-3808. He is an avid outdoorsman and a bowhunter. I know everyone says their guy is cheapest, I have yet to find anyone that sells tires cheaper than these guys. They open at 7:30 and will have you in and out in a hurry.

Thanks for all the help and PM's. This has been a very expense month for me, so if I can save a few bucks to put into the National Championship Trip fund it will be nice.

                                Why... who's playin'?

Discount is great, I've bought a few sets from them. I deal with a local yocal in Tyler, the Tire Barn. Service is top notch, though they've never picked me up from anywhere...
