ok well my family has a 60 acre place that we hunt in callahan county that we take deer off of every year and sometimes some pretty good deer (120-130 max though). we have seen some that might make a little bigger but it is still 60 acres and it gets crowded. I am wanting to find a good lease that is alot more acreage and in a good county. I know plenty of ppl that have scored on amazing leases for 2000 or less a gun which is what i would like to stay around or maybe 2500. I have never looked for a lease before and I know even in big buck counties there are areas that dont hold big deer and in some average counties there are some places that hold huge bucks. I paid a subscription for a couple lease sites last year but no luck finding anything. Does anyone have advice on what to look for, maybe where some good areas you know to look in, or if anyone has a place to lease. any help would be appreciated, i just dont want to throw money away on a dinky place. Also I live in dfw and would be willing to drive a good ways, i just really would like a place where me and my family can all take have a chance at larger bucks instead of just one or none of us having an opportunity. also enough property to manage would be ideal, we really cant manage our land now cause every neighbor we have will shoot anything and i mean anything that they have a tag for.
