Adoption Search Question

Has anyone ever had any luck with finding information regarding someone that is adopted or biological kin?
I was adopted 40 years ago this past Saturday. Since both of my parents (adopted parents) have passed away. I would like to try to find any and all biological kin that I have. Anyone have any experience in this area?

Wish I could get you in touch with my sister. We were adopted out to different families. She searched for me from the time she was 18 until she found me after Desert Storm. About 35 years. PM me if I can help

I was adopted threw a State agency in California. In California it is a closed/sealed adoption. I don’t know of any other way to try to find information.

first thing i would do would be to contact that agency. even if it is closed there is information they have to give you. if the other family member has contacted the agency making it know they want contact the records can be opened
