First I would like to thank HOYTPRO2001 for opening his hunting land up to my daughter and I. The morning got of to a decent start when the first sign of wildlife seen was right on the side of the highway in the form of a pack of hogs. We then turned on the wrong road and saw about 30 deer in peoples pastures and yards. Once we figured out we had gone the wrong way we made it to the box blind overlooking a feeder HOYTPRO2001 had given us permission to hunt. After about an hour of seeing nothing a doe or what we thought to be doe had made it to about 70 yards in Britts shooting lane. I gave it quick grunt, it stopped and Britt let the .243 ring. The shot was a little far back but it had only ran about 100 yards before crashing. It turned out to be a button buck, oh well. The only thing she can talk about now is the next one. BTW it's the first deer of the season in our freezer.
