I think most posted trail cam pictures are not intended for management.....Age/score threads should be. I believe most of the people posting pictures are simply trying to share pictures like many others on here who post pictures of just about anything.I understand the reasoning. The campfire tree has many branches and I guess this one needed pruning. I do believe the ATC forum will always get the main traffic and should because people rarely read a book from front to back anymore. If the popularity of the constant t/c,age/score,management and feed question threads are strong enough for another forum sobeit.
This is just my opinion and not my choice because its yalls decision. We are simply minions that visit the site!

I do like the newer d i y and photo sections. everything else is the same stuff discussed around a campfire.
I agree with Skeeter. I visit DIY, Photograpy, Classifieds and the Campfire forums now. I already spend too much time on this site. I don't need to be looking at info on different forums all dang night.

"New Posts" is your friend. I don't go into the other separate forums unless I'm looking for a specific topic or trolling thru the classifieds. If you have t/c pics, stuff in the classifieds, equipment/tuning issues that don't get replied to, bump them for everyone to see in the "New Posts" threads. Someone shouldn't expect to post a thread and leave it dormant expecting it to stay at the top with everyone's discussion. There are several hundred new threads daily, it's easy for one to get bumped down quickly. If you feel that you need more input, monitor your own thread and bump it TTT every once in a while. (IMO, it would be nice if the "New Posts" thread would last more than a couple of pages when they get cleaned up. I'd much rather dig thru 8-10 pages of new posts than thru 3-4 pages of 10+ different forums.... just a thought)
These threads are put into different forums for easier tracking at a later date. No need for an engagement announcement, birth of a new youngun or pics of your new bow to be mixed up with "what's he score", "is he mature enough", etc.
Problem solved....

I don't own the site and I will respect it's rules. All the site itself offers is a structure... The users offer the appeal and traffic draw. If that is curtailed the structure can't hold my interest.Last edited by Encinal; 08-29-2010, 08:59 PM.
