I will not shoot a trophy deer with a previously shot broadhead or arrow. I will reuse them on does, hogs or javies but not on a buck. For me, I think it started out of sheer paranoia and fear of wounding. I am sure they are good to go after a visual inspection but $10 is cheap compared to what it has taken to get to that point.

I have arrows that i have shot a few as many as 100 times or more. inspect them for cracks and cracked nocks, (carbon) flex them a little and listenfor cracking. spin test them. Feel them for nicks and burrs.

I use to put all my arrows that I had shot into an animal into a box and never reused them, but that was when I owned a shop and it was a little cheaper to do that. Now days, I check the arrow out and if it is good, it gets cleaned and put back into the quiver with a new BH.

Well I have only shot 2 deer with my bow. The arrow i shot a doe with will be shot again, however the arrow i shot my first buck ever with is waiting the mount from the taxidermist and will then be placed across his horns. I will prolly only retire the arrows if it is damaged or if its a buck i decide to put on the wall.

Cost has nothing to do with my decision to "reuse" an arrow. It's kind of a primal thing. You know, killing all the dragons with the same spear...

As for broadheads I use Ribtek, Magnus, ACE, and STOS all resharpenable. If the tip is bent I bang it flat enough and hunt hogs, if not why wouldn't I use it again. You don't throw away your knife after you skin a critter with it do you?

Reuse it,after checking it,if you want. But you should only be able to reuse a slick trick.
