    Ask and Answer???????

Do you ever have one of those questions that you just don't know where to get the answer? I bet there are tons of folks here on TBH that can help. So ask away, or answer, just keep it fun.

While I'm sitting in the tree this morning I was wondering this; Why does it get colder after the sun rise instead of getting warmer? Hmmmmm????

Why does the 80 year old lady with the cigarette with 4 inches of ash, going 40 in a 70 feel the need to give me the finger when I pass her?

She's just trying to save energy. She probably wanted to show peace. Bugt she was reserving her energy for her next drag. So she only raised one finger.

I have wondered that very same thing for a long time. Seems like when I was a young little know it all my dad told me why but it went in one ear and out the other if he did.

If I am not mistaken it has to do with the earth still cooling faster than the sun is rising to re heat the atmosphere.

When the environment is stable at night, the coldest air sinks to the ground surface. An official temperature measuring device by international standard is about 4 to 6 feet above ground. (Some are even higher, like RAWS weather stations, are even much higher above the ground.)

With the cooling temperatures at night, the relative humidity (RH) will go up. If the RH is high and near 100 percent right before sunrise, condensation may occur on or around the sensor area. This condensation would evaporate with the heating of the morning sun. This evaporation process will briefly cool the air near the location of the sensor. As a result, the temperature will drop suddenly after sunrise.

Here is the other possible reason. With a stable environment and calm wind, the coldest layer of air usually settles below the temperature sensor. When the sun comes up and starts warming the surface, the colder air below the sensor will start to mix upward. When this layer of air reaches the sensor height, the temperature will briefly fall. Then it will start to rise when this colder layer mixes out.

So in either case, it will likely result in a brief drop in temperature after sunrise.

How bout this. There are 3 ways to spell the word (to,two, too). So when I write this question which one do I use? 1. There are 3 ways to write the word to.
                      2. There are 3 ways to write the word two.

                      3. There are 3 ways to write the word too.

                        Here you go:

                        1. There is only one way to write the word to. (The preposition "to" primarily indicates approach and arrival, motion made in the direction of a place or thing and attaining it, access; and also, motion or tendency without arrival; movement toward; -- opposite of: from.)

                        2. There is only one way to write the word two. (The cardinal number equal to the sum of 1 + 1.)

                        3. There is only one way to write the word too. (in addition; also: More than enough; excessively, To a regrettable degree, Very; extremely; immensely, Informal Indeed; so

Hail is a large frozen raindrop produced by intense thunderstorms. Hail forms when strong currents of rising air, called updrafts, carry water droplets high enough in a thunderstorm for the water to freeze (regardless of the ground temp, it's freezing way up in the storm). More and more water freezes, causing the piece of hail to grow in size. Once the frozen pellet is too heavy for the updrafts to keep it within the cloud, it begins to fall, hurtling toward the ground as fast as 90 mph. It falls too fast to be melted on a 90 degree day

                          (thank you, Google)

Could have something to do with the decibel level of your truck's horn along with the amount of time your front bumper was in close proximity to her rear bumper before the pass was initiated.
