What piece of clothing do y’all use late in the afternoon when it chills down? Not as critical a problem in a ground blind because you can move a little more but in a tree stand the right garment is critical. I’ve tried ‘em all and have finally settled on a quarter length zippered pullover naturally in fleece. The less zippers and buttons the better. The full zippered fleece jackets seemed to invariably clink the zipper up against something when you swung it around while putting it on. I can slip the pullovers over my hat and glasses with the least amount of movement and noise. I tried a vest for a while but still had the zipper problem and there was no easy way to carry it. I tie the arms of the pullover around my waist and can climb the tree no problemo. Just leave it tied around me until I need it. A hoodie will work but I seldom need the bulk of the hood and the arms on hoodies are a little too bulky for my liking. Anybody got anything else?

Not lately. Some friends went in September. Guys are only fair fisherman at best. They consistently caught three to five pounders on a sloping flat in four foot of water on carolina rigged old Monsters and Texas rigged old Monsters. Lakes down a little but that'll just make the fishing better. Supposed to go the week after Thanksgiving (if the deer will ever get moving) and again in February. I'd sure appreciate a report if you go. Good luck.

I have that fleece pullover. I like mine becouse the opening is big enough that I can easily put it on and I don't have to take my saftey harness off. I just undo the harness from the tree and pull the fleece over everything, then hook the harness back to the tree. I do have a armguard that I wear to keep the sleeve out of the way of my string.
