I got up at five for an updated weather report. Severe storms forecasted for 7:30 kept me at the house and out of the woods.

Meanwhile, the so called severe weather is just now rolling in.

Curse weather men!...except for the one who puts me on big choke canyon bass

Average first freeze for where I hunt (halfway between Eastland and Abilene) is supposedly Nov 10th. Hope that happens this year - in fact I would really love to see an early freeze for lots of reasons. The forecast for DFW says back in the mid 70's by next week - I'm assuming that means we'll have the potential for even more storms. Enough already!

Honestly, I haven't really looked at any extended models here lately. For the past few days, I have been concentrating on my weather down here for today/tonight and into tomorrow because of the potential of severe weather and flooding rains. I'll dive into that here soon.
