    When Peterbuilt's crash.....

Here are some of the pictures from the Peterbuilt diesel truck that my Dad was driving behind when the accident happened, when this truck impacted the 4440 4wd tractor, the bang of the impact was heard from over 2 miles away...I'm glad Mr. Palmer is alive and well....

Dale I'm very sorry for what your dad and Mr. Palmer are going through. It doesn't sound like there was anything they could have done any differently to have prevented this accident, but I'm sure it weighs very heavy on their hearts. More prayer sent.

That was a tremendous about of energy to bend that much steel like that. Glad your Dad's OK. I assume the truck's frame was pretzel'd in the accident.

Woodrow, yes it was a Van Roach cattle company truck...., the eyewittness said at impact the trailer (loaded and grossing 73,000lbs) was over 6 feet in the air....the tractor that turned in front of the truck was completely destroyed, tires blown off the rims, it was broke into four seperate peices, with the motor landing over a 100 ft down the road , just the motor all by itself ran for over 15 minutes after the crash, just laying in the road......It was a fatal accident the man that was driving the tractor did not make it...

I'm supposed to pick the pictures up from the reporter (eye witness) tommorrow, his description of the accident scene was pretty bad.....

The truck above was totalled and laying on its side across the road (loaded with cattle), farm tractor parts laying everywhere, my Dad's truck was close by jack-knifed in the opposite ditch and blocking the other side of the road, oil and diesel everywhere, small electrical fires, the area around my Dad's truck was a life altering, (he is just now starting to talk about it) the remains of the farmer were under my dad's truck. I can't even begin to imagine what went through my Dad's mind as the accident unfolded, it had to be horrible to see the things he seen...

I want to take the time to thank everybody who has offered up prayers for my Dad and the family's that were changed forever on Monday..there is a great group of people here on the green screen and I just cannot thank you enough....
