Looking for a good Thumb Release

I'd appreciate any advice you may have with a Thumb Release. I've been shooting a Tru-Fire Black Talon (which is great, no problems at all), but I have a shooting finger that doesn't extend properly. Although I'm shooting well, I feel that a thumb release may help me even more. The three I've been looking at so far, but haven't been able to shoot any, are the T.R.U. Ball Pro Diamond, the Tru-Fire 3D Hunter and the Stanislawski SX2. I've never shot a thumb release before so any help, again, would be appreciated. I'm a hunter (not a target shooter) and shoot a Mathews Reezen with a string loop.

The biggest thing is find one that fits your hand and feels good to you. And one more vote for carter I have 7 of them no two alike.

I have been thinking about trying one too. Some of the research I have done has said that the TRU Ball pro diamond is the best for the money. A little more that the Tru fire (about $20), but money well spent. I have not looked into a Carter 'cause I don't know where to get one and I don't like ordering stuff without being able to put my hands on it first. How much do the Carters run?

I shoot the Tru ball pro diamond extreme. Great release. I own 2 of them (primary and backup) and would buy another tomorrow if I was to lose one of them.

One More Point about the Thumb Release

Thanks to all for your replies to my question about Thumb Releases. The Carter Thumb Release certainly looks like a “great” choice. The only other question I have is that the instructions (from Carter about the Chocolate Addiction) say that it’s best to shoot it with the “Back-Tension” method and with a D-Loop. I shoot a Loop, but I don’t shoot the back-tension method (at this point) and I don’t want to start changing over during hunting season. What method do you utilize? Thanks again…
