thoughts on the octane hostage pro arrow rest

let me hear your thoughts on the octane hostage pro I'm thinking about buying one. I've read alot of the reviews about the bottom brushes wearing out quickly, as with most things you never get the good input from these reviews just the bad so i figured i would reach out over here. So whats your opinion???

I have always been worried that the arrow could fall off the bottom brush and not be contained properly, but thats opion is based solely on looking at it.

had them on 3 of our bows. they shoot great til the brushes wear. usually 200 to 300 shots and your group starts moving. when replaced, the brushes don't easily go back to the correct spot either. i don't recommend them.

Gotta friend that has one on his bow and he says he loves it. I don't think his brushes are ever gonna wear out cause he don't shoot it unless he going hunting.

Me, I think there are better rest.

I had one on my Black Ice when I got it. I shot for a while and it was okay, but I felt like my helicals were contacting somewhere. Not sure why, but I couldn't get groups like I'm used to. I pulled the QAD off my old bow and and the second group after tuning it, I spit an arrow. Any closer and it would have been my second robin hood. I know I ramble, but all that was to say that I don't care for the Octane.

I shoot one on my PSE X Force, shot over 1000 arrows and have had no problems, no brushes wearing out and no sighting problem. I like it better than my WB, because the WB kept eating up my fletchings.

I dont really care for mine. Same as fireguy, I feel like I am getting contact on my helicals. I am going to play with it after the season and see if I can get my helicals to ride the brushes on the way out creating early spin. If not its gone.

If you like a wisker bisquit you will love a octane! They last a long time, and I assure you that you will have less vane contact than a WB!

I'm shooting the octane drop away and feel like it is not going to work to well for me the way i hunt due to zero aroow containment, would be a good target rest, don't like it for hunting situations. thanks for your guys input, heres another question for you guys, for the guys that have their brushes wearing out are your bows tuned well?
