    A little tuning help needed

OK experts, I need a little help with a tuning dilemma.

I was using a Biskit but my sights were pretty much at the maximum height setting in order to get shot in. I borrowed a friend's Ripcord dropaway to see how I would like one and was hoping that would resolve my lack of adjustment room and allow me to drop my sight slide and pins down a bit. It didn't. I haven't tuned it all in yet but I'm just not liking the setup any more than I did with the Biskit. Do I need to adjust nock placement (which is about 1/8 inch above level with the dropaway? Or possibly my peep? It just seems difficult to get this thing adjusted from shooting high without cramming the sight and pins as high as I can get them.

    Any help is much appreciated.

you need to change your anchor point. lower your anchor point and raise your peep will lower your sight....

I think you need to raise your peep.

I just went through this on a new bow, I finally came to full draw with my eyes closed, settled in my anchor point and then opened my eyes. I realized that I had been craning my head fwd in order to see through my peep.

          Give it a shot.

OK, sounds pretty unanimous to me -- raise peep. Thanks to all! I deeply appreciate it.

Actually, I ended up dropping my peep down a bit which allowed me to keep my same anchor point and move my sights down where I now have more room for adjustment. and tuning. Again, thanks to those that responded because it gave me a direction to pursue a solution.

A followup question ... where can I buy some string for tying in the peep? Academy? GM? They are the closest to me. Right now I have it tied in place with some dental floss but would like to finish the deal right. I hate to order online and pay shipping for just one item --- but I guess I could always buy more stuff ;-)

Gander should have it. It's called serving.
