    Cover scents

I bought a stick of (deer herd in a stick) by VS-1 and I am sold. I had 6 head of deer in two different groups approach me from the down wind side this a.m. with a good breeze blowing and not as much as a snort. I was a nervous wreck as they came from 100 yards out and fed within 10 yards of me. I kept waiting for the explosion but they were all very calm and never tested the wind or even looked in my direction.

This is my third year using it. I stand by it 100%. It is the best I have ever used. I have mentioned it on several threads in the past. Glad someone is can attest to what I have said.
I just posted a thread Tuesday about a doe I killed this past Monday. Eight deer showed up with the wind blowing across me towards where they came from. Had Deer Herd on a Stick rubbed on my clothes. see results:

              awesome stuff

I called the company after watching a outdoors show on it. No where in Houston carries it an you have to order it from the manf.

I am glad you posted this and I like your results.

Where did you put it in relationship to where you were set up. Do you put it on a tree or what?

              Thanks for the info

I rub some on my boots, pants, shirt, jacket, gloves, and cap. You can also rub a little on your ladder or on a tree.
This company also makes an attractant on a stick. I have it, but have never used it, so can not speak to the quality of it.
But I would highly recommend the Deer Herd. Check the web site out for more details

The VS1 doe in heat is greatness. We put it on a Redi-doe and had several bucks mount her. Have not tried the herd in a stick, but I may have to get some.

You can get it here and they are a site sponsor. Take a look at our other scents we have a lot of scents that you won't find anywhere else. Also check out the Northern Whitetail Scents. These scents are the freshest that I have ever seen.

How do you apply it? Right after you wash your clothes or do you wait until the moment you go in the field? Is it a strong scent? Was trying to read some about it on the Cabelas website.

I put it on as I leave heading to the stand. It smells like deer, which is why approaching game is not alarmed.
Hogs are really deceived by it, or so it has been the case with me. I was filling my one of my feeders Monday, and had pigs coming in within 10 yds, while I stood there. I know they do not see very well, but that was amazingly close without them spooking. Same thing happened last year after I killed a hog. I got down out of my stand and hogs came running in to feed. I was within 15 yds and they never spooked. Ended up having to run them off.:
I can tell you more, but I don't want to sound like a saleman for the product. Just like to pass on the knowledge and experience.

My apologies to Lost Buckaroo for seemingly highjacking the thread.

                        This stuff works great!!
