Just got to looking at a set of horns of a deer I shot 3 years ago and got to wondering, since we just went to AR's this year in Young County. Broke out the tape and he was right at 14" wide. Really sucks since he was a typical 12 point, 4.5 years old and measured 144 3/8. I wonder if I would have hesitated if I saw him this year since he was real close?

I know what you mean. My son and I were sitting in the blind Saturday evening and had a nice 8 point come in on us. O looked him over for a good long time and was unsure of whether he would make 13" so he got a pass this time. He is close enough that if one of my kids or wife is in the blind when he comes back in that he probably won't be so lucky.
