    Stand placement question...

I have noticed a large group of hogs coming in pretty often to root up a section of my lease. It's not at all far from a feeder, but they haven't been hitting it for some reason. The thing is that it's in a clearing of about 5 acres with no trees of any kind. Would it be beneficial to put a 16' tripod over there looking over the hotspot? Or would that spook everything? BTW, this would be for a rifle.

Tripod ,50 yards further from feeder, but down wind and,KAP.

I wouldn't waste my time on a elaborate setup. Get yourself a comfortable chair wait them out. Your biggest obstacles are going to be figuring out what time they come out and what direction they are coming from to play the wind.

I hunt in victoria county and we are over run with them. They will keep deer from going to the feeders. But they are fun to bow hunt and more fun to eat.
