need help with video

Ok I have one of those DVD camcorder and have no clue what im doing now.

I got video of a hog kill tonight. I called my son-in-law, but I think he messed me up. I'm trying to get the video to the computer so I can post here. I hooked it up with the USB thing and it loaded the program. I cant find it anywhere, so he had me finalize the cd. I can now watch it on the my computer, but how can I save it to the computer?

so is there no way to get it from the dvd thats in my computer to WMM?

If you'd of asked, I'd of told you to get a MiniDV

I don't use DVDs, but I would think it should transfer straight over......open WMM and click on get video and it should detect the DVD.......
