okay not a great diagram. but with the bow at rest the peep is totally horizontal. I am assuming that when I pull the bow back something happens to pull it up and in line with my eye? I got rid of the tube-peep - this is just a black circle split into the swing. sure can't see through it at all. when I pull back it remains flat and does not come up so I can sight in it. is this a quick fix - like it got twisted being put in the case or something? maybe I need a primer on peeps so I figure out what is going on so I can put it back right. ideas?

If it wasn't served in, it probably rotated out of position - at least 45 degrees, I'd guess.

peep should be served in at a 45 degree angle.

When you pull the string back, 45 degree (ish angle) it'll be just right for lookin through.

Something may have changed. Is the serving on your string still good or is it starting to come apart. You can try nocking the arrow then twisting the string a half rotation or even a full rotation one way or the other (by your drawing I'm guessing conter clockwise), then draw back and see if it lines up better. I had my bow in the press this week and I took the string off. When I put it all back together the peep wasn't lined up right. After nocking, twisiting, shooting, and repeating over about 30 minutes it lined back out again.

I don't shoot with a peep, I've been hunting now for 7 or 8 years without it and wouldn't go back. No more low light situations with hogs not being able to see them through my peep, no more twisted string issue's or whatever...my recomendation get rid of it. I'm sure I'm in the minority on this but just my thoughts..
