    Hog Problems??

I must admit that I 'm kind of getting tired of hearing people complain about having a hog problem. A lot of ranches and hunting outfits complain that the hogs are ruining property, crops and running off the deer from thier feeders. Yet when you check around to go hunt these vermin, the same people that call them a problem want to charge too much money for what is essentially a favor for them when we shoot these hogs. If they are such a problem, quit crying about it and just lower the fees and invite hunters on your property to dispatch any hogs they encounter.
    My 0.02 cents.

I agree the hunting fees are way over priced. Its crazy the prices these places charge. Messed up thing about it is alot of people will pay that price. Not me.

Ding Ding Ding you win the prize. As long as people will pay the high prices they will keep asking them.I would rather have rats and roaches in my house than hogs on my place.

A few hunters can't really make a difference in a hog population. I've trapped and shot close to 50 hogs one year on 600 acres and the next year they where back in force. You can't seem to kill em fast enough.

If you could guarantee results, they would likely have a different reaction. Unfortunately, people hunting for sport and killing a couple of hogs per year does not help at all. Then they have to consider the additional liability.....

We have little issue acquiring land but we have also caught 39 with dogs and no telling how many in traps so far this month. If I had approached the same land owners wanting to bow hunt at my leisure, they would have sent me packing.
