I tried some around one of my feeders last season. When the deer came in after the feeder went off, all they did was eat the corn. Would sniff the Nuggets and walk on by. Maybe it was because it something different or that it was in small piles..i dunno. My buddies place 20 miles away, the deer love it. He does not use it in the feeder, just throws it out as treat once in awhile.

I fed deer nuggets year around probably for the last year and a half. When I first started to buy them it was the same exact price as corn, so I figured I might as well throw out higher protein stuff. The deer absolutely loved them at my place. This last month I switched back to corn and believe it or not I have seen fewer deer (that may be due to acorns though). I dropped my spinning plate a little further and made sure it has a good opening to throw them. You will probably also need to bump up the time you throw because it throws less per second than corn (at least it does with my feeder). If you can get them for a comparable price to corn, I think you should do it without hesitation. Just my 2 cents.

I know the little feed store in Cherokee sells it (the one on the Llano side of Cherokee on 16)
