I was just informed that it may no longer be legal to hunt scimitar horned oryx in the US based on the following:
WASHINGTON D.C., June 23, 2009 --/WORLD-WIRE/-- A decision has been issued in FRIENDS OF ANIMALS v. KEN SALAZAR (Civil Action 04-01660): The Interior Departments US Fish and Wildlife Service violated the Endangered Species Act (ESA) by issuing a blanket exemption allowing trophy hunting at U.S. ranches of endangered African antelopes.
The link with the suite detail is https://ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin...?2006cv2120-43
I have been told that the ruling may still be in dispute and that it is actually still legal at this time.
Can anyone clear this up?
