Question for the Game Wardens on here / Or possibly others in the "KNOW"

I was just informed that it may no longer be legal to hunt scimitar horned oryx in the US based on the following:

WASHINGTON D.C., June 23, 2009 --/WORLD-WIRE/-- A decision has been issued in FRIENDS OF ANIMALS v. KEN SALAZAR (Civil Action 04-01660): The Interior Departments US Fish and Wildlife Service violated the Endangered Species Act (ESA) by issuing a blanket exemption allowing trophy hunting at U.S. ranches of endangered African antelopes.

The link with the suite detail is https://ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin...?2006cv2120-43

I have been told that the ruling may still be in dispute and that it is actually still legal at this time.

    Can anyone clear this up?

I know there was some discussion about it, but last I heard you can still hunt them.

Search for this on some old threads. There was a thread on the same subject a month or so ago and someone posted that this ruling had been overturned and oryx and other endangered species that are not native to the U.S. could still be hunted in the U.S.

Heck there are alot of critters that would be extinct if it was not for Texas. There are several species that have greater numbers in Texas than in the rest of the world combined

See, Clent ... this is exactly why I tell you that you need to spend at LEAST four hours a day on here ... those of us, in the "know" are the ones that have discussed this more than once in the last few months.

Take some vacation time and go sit over that poop pile ... he's gonna come back and yes, it's still legal to shoot him!

Whack 'em and stack 'em. Still legal.

Thanks gang, and I apologies for those in the "KNOW" MR KEVIN>>>>>>> I wish I could spend more time on here. I have been very absent lately. This stinking job that pays the bills so I can set over a poop pile is taking up way tooooooo much time.

Man, I got scared when I heard this last night. As Kevin alluded to I have been hunting one real hard the last two weeks and would have put an arrow in him if he would just get a little closer. He is going down this weekend as I will be sitting over "said poop pile" starting Saturday morning and have even take Monday off just for an extra day if needed.
