How long does deer meat last in the freezer?

i freeze mine in water to avoid the burn & never worry about the date.

Go for it!! I had some last night from Dec '07 and it was still good. As long as it's not freezer burnt.

I found some that went back to 06 in my freezer. cooked it up and was just as good as i can remember.

As long as it looks okay and smells okay it should be fine. I have all mine vacuum sealed because it is supposed to last longer.
